Pierre Neumann was born on 14 september 1951 in Adelaide, Australia with Swiss Mother and Polish father. In 1974, he studied Fine Arts School Lausanne, Switzerland for 4 years. After he graduated, he worked at Werner Jeker for a year and established his own office. His works, poster and books, have won numerous awards internationally. His posters had been exhibited solo in Switzerland, France, USA , Mexico and Canada.
His posters designs are varied from simplicity, black and white, combination of colors and images to very complex. It seems that he has endless idea approaching design posters. His posters became a collection in many fame museums such us, MoMA, Museum für Gestaltung, Plakat Museum, Die nuue Sammlung and many more.
Neumann also a design teacher and has been taught in Switzerland, Canada, Mexico and France. I hope someday I could meet him. I contacted him regarding contributing NEWWORK MAGAZINE issue 6.
