Fritz Buhlet was born on June 24, 1901 in Basel, Switzerland. He started his education in Basel and continued in Berlin. He also did self study in Paris. His career began by working at an advertising agency as a graphic designer. In 1933, he established his own studio in Basel. “Advertising, to him, is a means of promoting understanding for modern art, which prompts him to put his whole mind into his design. With his team, he used graphic, typographic, photographic, and color techniques to get the best result. He is a founder member of AGI and became an AGI president in 1960.
