Today marks the 90th anniversary of the birth Otl Aicher; a great designer, teacher and writer. Today also the opening “The Visual Appearance of the XX. Olympic Games Munich 1972″ in HFG Archive, Ulm, 13 May to 14 October 2012. It would be great if I could go to Germany to see the exhibition. Thank you to Rene Spitz, he took some pictures of the exhibition. They just look splendid. Please also see the poster exhibition here. There would be an exiting event of symposium presents the trailblazing design heritage of the Olympic 1972 at University for the Creative Arts at Canterbury, New Dover Road, United Kingdom on 29 June 2012. Thank you very much for your kind lines. And thank you for sharing your insights via your beautiful blog. – Just one short notice: 2 of the posters that you are showing here (above the Volleyball poster) are not designed by Otl Aicher and his team, they are part of the art programe which accompanied the Olympic Games 1972. – Best wishes from Cologne!
