“A life without any complacency, in constant quest of improvement.” That is how Jost Hochuli described his former teacher, Willi Baus. Another example how Jost showed his gratitude to his former teacher was when he mentioned that the most valuable lesson he ever received from Willi was how to see through pretense in design and how to distinguish between form and formalism. This booklet was designed in three column grids set in Frutiger, in 8pt and 7pt. Once again, Jost not only showed Willi Baus at a professional level but at a personal level as well. He also included some of Willi’s sketches of where he lived and then a birthday gift for his wife, Herta, water color and ballpoint on hand-made paper. Apart from that, a number of students’ works are shown as well.
